This ensures freedom of movement for the feet and lets the child feel the ground under the shoes. The footbed is flat from heel to toe.

Please note: Barefoot shoes put more strain on the foot muscles and in a completely different way than 'normal' shoes with a footbed and/or thicker soles. For barefoot shoe newcomers, it is very important to slowly get used to the unfamiliar load. In the case of foot deformities, an orthopaedist should be consulted beforehand to avoid pain or overloading.
